RPS "Name that Tune" Social Event!

Alrighty!! It's about that time again for another RPS event!! Thanks to your Councilors and Event committee we will be holding our second Social Event under Lord Darkes Reign!! All Guild members and Applicants are invited to attend as well as up to 2 guests per Member/Applicant.

This will be Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 5pm PST/Server Time (Pacific Standard Time, posted on the main page of http://mabinogi.nexon.net/). Everyone will meet at the Emain Macha stage in channel 5 at that time!!!

Calling All Bards and Musicians!! This is a chance for you to shine!! We are looking for all bards willing to write commonly heard tunes or favorite songs of yours to be played in Mabinogi!! You are not limited to One song either!! Write as many as you wish!! Please send Thomasina the following filled out before the 30th!

Anyone Wanting to perform must have the above filled and Private messaged to Thomasina before the 30th and Arrive behind stage 30 minutes Prior to the event.

New Position: Event Committee Member

Alrighty folks, This is actually something Darke and I have been working on for a little bit and I would like to open the floor to the rest of the guild. Darke has offered me a position as 'Mistress of Ceremonies' as I call it. Basically, I will be kind of an over seer of events happening for the guild. But part of this entails that there be some people within the guild to work with events and event ideas. I would like at least three people to place in this 'Event Committee'.

What does this position entail?

A direct hand in event execution and planning as well as our own forums. You get to help decide what the events are and how they are executed. You will have jobs such as; Prize collection/distributing, event brainstorming, and actual execution of the event and many many more.

What kind of people are you looking for?

Active friendly people that want to help promote guild unity and role play. You have to be willing to check the forums daily and work with others, via the forums, and you will be expected to attend most events, within reason. ( No, you won't get in trouble for putting real life first ) You don't have...

Rule Seven Appended to the Guild Rules and Guidelines

Rule Seven has been added to the RPSociety's Official Rules and Guidelines. It states:

Members are expected to use the forums regularly and stay up to date with the news and rules posted here. Try to log in at least once every couple of days to make sure you are aware of any changes. All members must use the name of their primary guild character as their forum username to avoid confusion. You can change your username through your profile controls available at http://rpsociety.heavenforum.com/profile.forum?mode=editprofile.

Guild Dungeon Hunt - Sunday July 6, 2008 - 5pm PST

Your officers of the Roleplay Society have gotten together and we present our First Guild event under Lord Darke's Reign!!!

And what do we have planned you ask? A Dungeon hunt!! This will be a group oriented event, in which team leaders will be chosen on at the time of the event, and Team Members will be randomized. From there a list of Riddles will be handed out, it is then up to each team to decipher the clues. Some of the clues will take you into Dungeons, so be prepared. The first team completed and correct will all receive awards announced on the day of the event. All other participants will recieve awards as well spanning from possible NX cash (Yet to be determined) to Items from the advanced shop and Gold (Taking item/money donations, the more we receive the more we will give out. Speak to Kalypstra). Afterwards, all are invited to a social gathering where there will be music and fun for all that competed.

Each RP Member will be allowed to bring one or two guests along for the ride as well.

The time set for this is 5pm PST (Pacific Standard Time) ON Sunday July 6, 2008. We will congregate in the Auditorium in Emain Macha!...

New Ventrilo Server!

Okies, so we're tired of our Teamspeak getting hacked, so we've upgraded to a more secure voice chat system. So! First, you need the client.

You want the Client: Windows i386 - 32bit (Version 3.0.1)

After the client program has been installed you can use these quick step-by-step instructions for getting the program configured and connected into a server. Before you begin you need to know several things before you can connect to a server.

1) The server's hostname or IP address. Ours is: 74.54.222.45

2) The server's port number. Ventrilo server's and client's default to port number 3784 but if the server admin has changed the port number then you will need to tell the Ventrilo client to use the same port number when connecting to the server. Ours is: 5082

3) The server's case sensitive password (if a password is required). Our Password is: rps

Guild Get Together Day and Time

To promote unity and communication in the guild, your officers have decided to have a guild get together every two weeks. We'll all come together in one central location to talk, share handicrafts, meet newcomers, and have a general good time. To make this work, we need to get as many members together as possible, which means finding a day and time that works for the biggest chunk of people. Please let us know what times of the week you would be consistently able to show up for a guild gathering.

At first I wanted to post a poll for this, but it's really poorly suited for a poll. Polls only allow a single choice per voter and polls in our forum only allow 10 options. Please just write a short post describing the best days and times for you to attend.
