I decided to post some of my work after reading Jake's. I love comments, criticisms, edits, and all that sort of jazz, so give me anything you feel like writing. That work?

The Aspects of Life- The Shadow

I am the Shadow.

I am the cause of all of your doubt,
all of the screams in the back of your head,
tearing your thoughts into bloody ribbons
and painting the chaos that pleases me so.

Your mind is my canvas, your pain my success.
You are my toy,
and you'll never escape.

The Aspects of Life- The Puppeteer

His gaunt face
and frail body
lead to false presumptions.

His white hair
falls across his face
like thousands on thousands of
strings cut from
some unknown puppet master's hand.

Now the controlled
has become the controller,
the power flowing
into his grasp.
Everything works towards
his schemes, or
they will be forced
to follow his plans.

All of his puppets,
his marionettes,
written into his plots
are attached to him
by impossibly thin threads.
They are the leashes that he
can never let go,
lest he again
becomes the puppet.

The Aspects of Life- The Chameleon

Into the shadows, into the light,
into anything that will hide him from view
until he puts on
the face that everyone would love
to see before them.

His bright red hair and scaly skin
put on the illusion of being another,
the daemon will hide as long as he can
to fit in with a crowd that fascinates him.

The Shadow's Revenge

"You think you can
drown me out?"
he cackles manically
as he bleeds out
my euphoric mind.
"You can't beat fear!
You can't kill
your own insecurities!"

I can feel him
ripping my nerves asunder,
causing my mind
to scream out
louder than ever before.
This pain... my pain...
"Is what I feel on," he laughs
as my mind and mood
slowly fade from gray
to black.
